Veteran Angler Charters

Veteran Angler Charters is a non-profit organization whose mission is to offer free charter fishing trips to our active duty, retired, wounded and recovering veterans and their families, providing recreational rehabilitation and therapeutic support.

About Veteran Angler Charters

Veteran Angler Charters, based in West Haven, CT., was formed for the purpose of providing
therapeutic and recreational fishing excursions to veterans of all branches of the armed forces.
The program idea was conceived by the founder, Captain Kathy Granfield, and began as a
charitable venture during the spring and summer of 2009.

We are extremely pleased to be a member to help support our local veterans who do not have the means to go saltwater fishing! We can have onboard up to six veterans for a half day fishing charter. For more information on the program, please check out https://www.veterananglercharters.org/about/ or feel free to contact me directly for available dates.

Liability Release Form
The Authorized Captain is responsible for ensuring that all passengers on VAC funded charters has
provided a properly completed liability release form. This form may be provided to the clients prior to
the day of the trip or completed on board. In all cases, the signed release form must be obtained prior
to the vessel departing the dock on the day of the trip.
Passenger Identification
Identification shall be checked against the provided client list (by VAC or the sponsoring VSO). All
clients presenting for an “open boat” trip must show proper proof of service and a government issued
photo identification prior to the vessel departing the dock. Clients sponsored through a VSO are not
required to show proof of service as the VSO verifies this information on VAC’s behalf.

Below is the waiver you can download and print out. We will need a signed copy when you board our vessel
