Archangel charters is Newport Rhode Island’s Premier fishing charter. Captain Mike Littlefield has grown up fishing the waters off Newport RI. Captain Mike started his maritime career working on offshore fishing vessels out of high school. Soon after he joined the Merchant Marines and excelled to the rank of Master on offshore ITB Tug and Barges. Captain Mike retired April 2021 from the Merchant Marines so he can focus on commercial fishing and charter fishing.

The Rhode Island fishing charters we specialize in are Inshore fishing trips. These trips include catching striped bass, bluefish, blackfish, seabass and fluke. On our offshore fishing charters, we specialize in shark fishing and target many varieties of shark that’s guaranteed to make your fishing trip the most exciting experience you will have on your vacation in Rhode Island.  The type of fishing rods we use onboard are made by local Ralph Craft at Crafty One Customs. They are designed to be a light action rod giving the angler the full effect of how powerful these fish really are.

Our recent edition, the “Archangel” is a 31 ft. BHM Downeaster style Lobster boat with an enclosed pilothouse for comfort. The BHM has a certificate of documentation, goes through a complete safety inspection yearly and is powered by a brand new John Deere 6081. One of the most comfortable fishing charters you will ever experience in Newport RI.
